  • Spirit of Texas at Waco

On November 11th, there will be an airshow in Waco Texas and Stew will be performing his aerobatic show in the Spirit of Texas. The show is free and the gates are open from 10 am to 5 pm. It will be at the TSTC airport. Just thought I would pass that info along for anyone interested in attending.

Stew has a smoke system on the airplane and he will use it, but he does not have wing tip smoke gererators. As for pictures, I hope someone will get some good pictures but that is not one of my talents.

What a treat to see Stu and the Spirit Of Texas fly! Beautiful photo pass at the end of the routine. WOW. Stu I waited and waited for you to wonder over to the fence( I showed up after the ramp was closed) and introduce myself to you. Maybe next time.

                      RAREBEARFAN77,

Stew did not make it to the fence on Sat. because the Fury lost the prop seal again. He had to make sure he had a place to hangar the airplane until we could get it fixed. If you make it to another airshow please be sure to come up and introduce yourself. We love to meet fans of the Spirit of Texas.

                        And here:

The folks at the Waco Trib need to learn something about shutterspeeds and propeller driven a/c. I see a lot of aircraft flying with their engines "out". Oh, and there are dust spots on some images. And these guys get paid for this.

I noticed in one of those links that Devil Dog is really starting to look scraggly.

I always liked that restoration because it was 'different'....but wow, 20 years worth of wear and tear is beginning to show.
