Folks there have a good thing going with the air races. I'm sure those who have lived there since the days when the races were king well remember that this used to be THE single biggest event in the area.

The problem is, there are so many new folks who probably barely know what that "air show" out at Stead is about...

I've been a car guy since hand hewn stone wheels were first made but for pure gut wrenching, adrenalin pumping excitement I don't think anything can beat the Air Races.

As a racing team crew member, I just came back with two wins from the NJBA National Boat Drags in Bakersfield Ca. It was awesome but from a spectator's viewpoint, not even close to the Air Races.

I found the voting link bad from the first posting here but I e-mailed instead.
