Shot taken on first day out on pylons this year. We'd all given up and headed back to the bus.. "Leeward's up!"... he caught us all off guard, pretty much, gave a really nice rounding of pylon 2 on his way out for the run.
Light sucked, we were all tired but this was one guy we'd all come to see this year!
How lucky are we to have guys like Jimmy Leeward! All the way from Florida, not a buck to be gained, Jimmy brings his beloved steed, in her best September "Halloween disguise" and man did this man come to race!
You have to take your hat off to one Jimmy "Go Fast" Leeward! Few people have contributed more to the great sport of Air Racing!
