  • GP-5 - a question for Dave

So I'm not sure of the dispacement of the V-8 in the GP-5. It migh be under the sport class limit. If it wasn't I'm sure a very "frisky" V-8 could be built that was. Are there going to be plans for the GP-5 and what I wonder would it take to become legal in the current sport class.

As an aside, if there was a "super" sport class that allowed 1000 cu and one off designs I expect it would become more interesting than the current unlimited in a very short time.

It meets the cc rule. not sure if it will meet the kit rule. its a modified gp-4 but that isnt clear at this time how much you can mod and still meet the rules.

Are there any published pilot reports or other numbers that can be reported? It is a beautiful airplane!

DG seems to have gone pretty far with his modified NXT...

The GP-4 to GP-5 mod seems very similar: single vs. twin seat, bigger engine, new prop.

          I'm confused, DG=Darryl Greenameyr? NXT?

Aerochia is building a heavily modified single seat NXT for Greenamyer.

Ahh! Read that thread but somehow missed where someone said Greenamyer was racing it.....
