Damn Victor! How much better can you get?

Warning to pilots: Don't pick yer nose anywhere near the Alien.
    No pixels were harmed, honest.

Every time I see that ship I think someone had WAY too much fun in the 70's. Hey Goss, what is the history on that aircraft?

Anders Trygg , the pilot here, was without a doubt one of the most charming, in his pure love of what he was getting to do,I have ever seen.
Anyone who was at the IF1 banquet on Saturday night saw this. He brought the plane across the ocean, crated-I believe thru the Panama Canal. He just made you smile at his enthusiasm, and Victor caught it perfectly-just look at Ander's grin in the picture.

Where is he from? Somewhere in Europe I assume.

              Re: Nice wing ART!!!

I interviewed Anders Trygg, who is Swedish, for the Formula Forum and this is what he told me about the plane.

Three Swedish guys set out to build 3 Cassutts together and this one was the only aircraft completed in 1982. The owner was quite an artist and there are other paintings under the cowl. Anders saw it in 1983 and wanted to buy it but it took 20 years to finally complete the sale after the owner lost his license. Dan Borgstrom used it for training prior to his trips to Reno with #30. Anders crewed for Dan Borgstrom in 2002 at Reno so got to know his way around IF1.

He built a special trailer for the plane and shipped it in a container. It arrived 3 weeks before Reno and was retrieved from customs by Birch Entriken and his crew. The G-meter read -2 +1 after the trip!

Anders was named IF1 Rookie of the Year for his efforts and received a special award for the sexiest airplane. The Swedish registration tells the story Sex Doll (SE-XDL)!

                Hi Victor,
I read the topic-line and had absolutely NO doubt, what would follow

B.t.w. the name "Dancing Queen" is one of the most well known songs of
the most successful swedish pop bands, "ABBA". That reminds me of a
nice motion picture "Muriel´s wedding". Without planes, but worth to watch.

Hi Victor - I hope this isn't a dumb question, but what autofocus mode do you normally use? The EOS-1D has a few, correct? The EXIF I can see doesn't address autofocus mode. Thanks!

If, in fact, you manually focus - I'm speechless!

The shots taken with both my 20D and my 1D I always use AI Servo mode. with my 100-400mm I usually turn of IS with the 500f4 I always use IS.
