  • The view from the Fenceline

Wasn't really fired up this year to take photos, but did manage to get some from atop the RV.

Nice Mike! Makes me wonder what you do when you are fired up.

Re: The view from the Fenceline

Let me explain about the fired up comment. For some reason, I was just burned out all week, so I didn't set exposure compensation or shoot any test shots, didn't back up the data, didn't focus (no pun intended) on holding the camera steady, and to top it all off, when I did an extreme levels adjusment on one image, I discovered I have HORRENDOUS problems with dirt on the sensors that you normally don't see - Lots of clone stamping done on my shots! I had about a 5% success rate for exposures this year, and I didn't go into the pits, etc.

I'm having more fun right now scanning some of my old 70s Air race images and cleaning them up than I am with all the fancy digital stuff I've bought in the last two years. The digital darkroom (lightroom?) has truly freed me to reexamine and resurrect many of my older images.

        Maybe next years at PRS....
