Okay, so while "I" was in Reno, the rest of my team was down in San Diego winning the U.I.M. World Championship race for Unlimited Hydroplanes. Capped off the season with three wins (APBA Gold Cup, UIM World Championship, and the hometown race in Seattle).
The funny thing was...I was in Reno and wanted to know what was going on in San Diego. My crew chief was in San Diego, and wanted to know what was going on in Reno. Good thing we are on the same cell phone plan, because we were calling so much my son started rolling his eyes every time I'd haul the phone out.
I know some of you have met DJ before...and some of you haven't seen him in a few years and were surprised at how tall he is these days. But I finally got him into the racing game this year...and here is a photo of him and his new 'toy' at Lake Lawrence on the Saturday before Reno (thanks to Pat Gleason).
