    Hey Ryan,

Great meeting you this evening! I don't think I ever met your dad before either. (other than on the phone)

Your "Grandpa" is one of the true classic human beings ever in the world of Aviation! (or anywhere else!)

I think you're a chip off the old block!

Now... despite the new camera, what to heck you doin' up so late my young friend!

    ?

    JUSSSST KIDDING!

Special thanks to your Grandpa for a great party tonight! Jimmy is one of the best Ryan, you're really a lucky young man to be cut from the cloth you're from!

Thanks for the great photo updates and the info leading up to the races this year! YOU have added greatly to the suspense and action of this year's RENO young man!

              Re: Friday Photos (LOTS!)

Seeing those pix of smoke oil preparation brought back memories of past ramp parties (blurry, distorted memories, but memories nonetheless).

Does anyone have the secret formula for smoke oil, or is it a "death for telling you" kind of thing? In a small batch, it might be a controllable substance -- you could always use it for degreasing, paint removal, dirty bombs, stuff like that . . .

New here, folks, but I see a lot of familiar names and faces. Y'all help bring air racing to the less fortunate with great info and photos -- KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

It's probably "I could tell you but I'd have to kill you" type of thing.

Aha...so THAT is the secret to the Pope's eternal youth...you gotta mix it up in a fuel drum.

Fuel drum? Try 33 gallon trash can. I think chemicals in the plastic leach out under the influence of alcohol and combine with free radical oxygen molecules to create an intense...

                      ...hangover.

                      By the way, great photos.

Yea, they usually use a 40 gallon ADI tank, but noone could find one, so we had to buy a trash can.

Hey, if a garbage can can work as a Spraybar tank for Vernon Thorpe, I'm sure that it'll work fine for some vintage Poberezny fire water......
