  • Black & White photography?

    Opionions and experience needed:
Does B&W photography has a place at Reno? (other than Breitling ads of course). I am curious to decided if I should bother shooting some B/W shots in the pits or elsewhere. I would imagine such work is best suited to the warbirds, but I'm just looking for ideas if anyone has them to share. Thanks.

With digital its always best to shoot color and convert to B&W in post processing to get the best results.

Well with color film, you can always shoot and process it normaly. find the pix you want, and have em printed on B/W paper at any lab. B/W prints from a 1 hr lab have a bit of a washed out look to them.

Modern day 1 hr labs use the same process for color and B/W film when making prints.

And if you take it to a pro lab, They can have better results using a true B/W paper/chemicals.

I used to play around with this a lot when I worked in a lab. You can do some intersting stuff with color film and B/W paper.
