  • Not Everyone's a Fan of Jimi's

Remember when Voodoo was Voodoo Chile? And those not in the know pronounced it Voodoo Chili? Including Frank Kingston Smith? Oh well...

Bob needs a SPort Class racer named Voodoo Chile - Slight Return. Stevie Ray's rendition is fine with me, too!

Or, Little Wing, either Jimmi or Frank Z's...

As much as I like SRV, Jimmi's all the way!

I had a buddy who insisted on saying Voodoo Chili. After three years of this, I finally had to smack him up side the head to set him striaght.
You'll get your chance, smart guy!

Haaa, you would think. Even after that he called it Chili. At least he shows up at the fence every year.

Based on the current paint scheme, they oughta name it "Purple Haze"....or how 'bout "Are You Experienced?"..

Or you strap 'im in a chair and play the live version of "Voodoo Chile" from "Electric Ladyland" with the volume set at "11", until you take him "past the outskirts of infinity." (Which, by the way, is no longer Pluto!) You did show him "Venus witches' ring", right?

I love the chatter after the song, "Oh, the bar's closed?"

'Course, these days Jimmi's overseeing new big bangs with bent notes in the furthest corners of the cosmos, relying on the sheer volume of his music to ensure the "inflation" of each new yearling universe!

Why don't you just get a bigger amp and make THAT 10?

                      Wow, that's heavy man.

Personally, I like the version off of "Jimi Blues". Amazing how good that album is considering he was dead when they put it together. IMHO better than The Experience, better than Electric Ladyland and yes, better than Band of Gypsies.

Anybody seen Mitch Mitchell lately? That dude never got the credit he deserved. The perfect compliment to Jimi. Give that guy two two sticks and a garbage can lid and he's good to go.

Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.

Ahh man, yeah, you'll love it.

This kind of got me thinking, who's your favorites drummer? I started thinking about my fav's and all three of them have the last initial of M. Mitchell, Moon and Moore. Crazy man, carazy.

All this just to try and keep my mind off the two toughest weeks of the year. The two leading up to the best week of the year.
