  • A small sample...

...of what was going on Friday at Stead. I took tons of photo's (not quite as many as Victor though) but haven't had the time to really go through all of them yet. Enjoy.

Stevo - Very nice work, and thanks for the shots. That Thunder Mustang has the nicest paint job I have ever seen.."Only in America" indeed. BTW, do you know why Mr. Odegaard brought his Corsair to PRS? He isn't planning on racing it this year, is he? That would be very cool!

      Nice shots Steve.

Odegaard's F2G and P-51D are here. What I have been told is that they are for the Movie... Thunder Over Reno. I don't know how it all fits together, but that's what I was told.

I hope the F2G does round the pylons in September but I think that's against the "Walter Agreement".

Wrong F2G. Odegaard's F2G has been out and about for a long time. The one that came from Walter's place was Dick Becker's #74. The Crawford Museum in Cleveland is the owner of it, and Odegaard is restoring it to static display only.

Thanks for the fun pictures for those of us not up there!
Anybody catch any shots of the small guys? Biplanes especially?

I thought both came from Walter's and he did not want either to fly but agreed to Odegaard provided it is not raced. As you said, #74 will not fly.

So if 57 did not come from Walter's, where did it come from?

It made the rounds, but was never part of Walter collection.
For the whole history see the WIX registry here:

Thank you very much! That last photo of the center section makes me physically ill (I'm already mentally ill).
