  • New AT-6 pair in So. Bay Area?

I have noticed the recent arrival of two fully restored ( very pretty) AT-6's at the South County Airport in San Martin Ca. ( 15 mi. south of San Jose) They are up in the air nearly every day. Does anyone know whats up with that situation? Any more details? Please post if ya do. I will try to get over there this weekend to see if they are selling rides. I'll pass along what I find out. Maybe give them some more business!
I'll add that one of the planes is polished with a flame painted cowl. The other is olive green with a light blue underside. I also can say that the pilots are pussyfooting around with those birds. In all the the 30+ times I have noticed them over my house, they are never ever going more that 150 or so. No sharp turns, nor any dives. Hell, the prop tips never break the sound barrier!
    Just hanging there on the wings ...b a r e l y.

They're doing rides. I believe they move around to different airports for a few weeks. I forgot the group's name.

Yup, you're right. I just got back from the airfield.

The are moving to the Marysville area over the weekend.
They offer dual control planes with front seat option! Nice.
        $450 will do the trick.
