  • are these racers???

    I took these in Watsonville a couple of months back...


    are they reno racers?

    I've seen that Glasair before at some airshows in the static display section. I believe it is involved with cross country racing.

      Glasair has raced at AirVenture race(s), would imagine the Gyroflug SC10B (factory built), does similar 'races'.

        do they still have the Hayward to Las Vegas Race that is a cross country race usually this monthes sometime shawn

              Ya know... my grandfather used to do a few races like this and there are a few trophies floating around my grandmother's house. That got me wondering, so I punched in "Pearce" and I came up with this:

              Year: 1980
              Place: 4
              Race: 82
              Pilot: David Pearce
              Co-pilot: Ernie Batstone
              Aircraft: Cessna 182
              Points: 273

              Unless there is some amazing coincidence, that would be my uncle. He lived in San Jose and flew a 182. I'll have to ask my dad about this.
