Hi there everyone,

I've got a question. I'm getting ready to buy my first DSLR camera. And I'm thinking about picking up the first Digital Rebel that canon produced. Would this be a good starter digital camera in the DSLR category? I was thinking about the newer Rebel XT, but that appears to a lot more money for 2 more megapixels.

I thank everyone for their imput and advice,

Lonnie

Have you read any of the reviews or forums at http://www.dpreview.com/.

I'm a Canon guy but I'm not familier with the Rebels. But, you can cruise through the forums there and I'm sure you'll find the answer to that very question. You can also compare the cameras side by side.

I have the Rebel XT and it is great. I just got my EF100-400mm F4.5-5.6L lens and that is great to. Can't wait for the races in Sept.

Thanks for the link and the info. I'm leaning towards the Rebel XT, I'm hoping to have one of them in my greedy hands before PRS this year.

Thanks again,

Lonnie
