Yes I'm going. I live a mile and half from Mather field. I'm going to check it out. I hope the weather improves. Last year the open house was very wet. They some static displays and the had more people to show than I figured the they would with little or no advertising.

Saturday:
Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 50s and lows in the upper 30s.

Sunday:
Abundant sunshine. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the low 40s.

I'm thinking about going. I wanted to go to El Centro this weekend but weather made it impossible

First two shows on my list I didn't get to go too...
Oh well there's still a couple more...

Saturday will be the day I go also. I took a look at weather.com also and so far it says it will be nice. But it did snow this weekend in the SF area...weird!

I'll be there either Saturday or Sunday, whichever day looks like it will be the better day, weather-wise. Hopefully the Blue Angels will be able to do their full show. Looks like a few warbirds are scheduled to show up also. It'll be nice to attend a show in my backyard for a change.

Victor - Just curious, how'd you get the dates for the Nevada County Air Fest? I always try to make that show, and I hadn't been able to find any info. Is there a website for the show? Thanks for posting the dates, BTW.

Yes, I went on Sunday as well. I didn't think the traffic was too bad, but getting in was a LOT easier that getting out. I also heard that Saturday was a nightmare...

I thought it was a pretty good show, the Blues did a good routine, and the warbird flybys were cool. And the pyrotechnics that were part of the A-10 demo were impressive. I was at the fenceline and I felt the heat from that last big blast.

Looks like they got a good crowd on both days. Hope they'll bring the show back next year.

That one is a no go for this year I just called a few days ago. No Grass Valley this year

Victor,
If you need a July trip to take pictures of motorized racing , you will just have to bring Goss to the Tri-Cities for the hydroplane races as Brad and I have been telling you.

I went on saturday , showed up early had no problem getting in, but what a mess, great show great turnout just highly un organised they had no idea that half of sacramento would show up! , I was glad to see that many people interetested in the airshow cause we all know that is what we need to keep this sport alive!, other than the long lines at the beer stand and a traffic nightmare i was impressed with there first show!,
