Hi,
This is my first post here but I have been visiting this site for a long time. I always love hearing all the stories of back in the day and the "what if they did this" debates. But while searching around on google earth I was surprised to see very few placemarks for the air races. It's possible I missed them but I don't think so.
I think with all the wealth of knowledge you guys have on this board, you could put together a very cool and informative set of placemarks. All us info/gee wiz junkies that were not there in the early days would love it. We could link all the placemarks together so if you open one you could find the links to all the others like this for all aircraft in flight.
Off the top of my head here are some things that would be cool to see.
-All the courses past and present
-notable crash sites
-courses at other venues (mojave, cleavland, tunica, miami ect.)
-if anyone has ever seen a pic of an actual racer in google earth
-original stead air ranch location
Anyways its just a thought, and thanks to everyone for the great website.
