      At Reno:
Lefty Gardener Race #13 in 1974. 2nd place in the Medallion race speed 302mph.
David Price Race #39 in 1995. Late entry and did not race.

      Couldn't find anything about a #71

                      Hi,

There was a P-47 that was to race in one of the Bendix races in the 1947 and 1948 Bendix race by Bill Odum

                      YP47 NX4477N

It did not start in 1947 due to a fuel leak.
                      I don't know why it didn't race in 1948
WarbirdAeropress has some good pictures of her

I always wondered just what sort of racer you could make starting with a "47". Sadly being as rare as they are we'll never know but I bet they have amazing potential.

Using my very limited knowledge of aircraft I would think that the p-47 would be too heavy to be real fast even with a 3350. Would it be possible to mount a 4360 in one, or would you have some CG issues?
