  • New racing class?

I was going to use the "buy it now" option but then I noticed the restrictions on the name.... so forget it! Although I am very impressed with the panel labeling and preflight checklist.

I can just hear his final words before his first test flight: "Hey guys watch this!"

      Re: New racing class?

Say Bill, did you check out his website? Coupla things struck me a little "funny"... from the website "Before Skywalker jets can sell jetpacks, we must meet any F.A.A. requirements. This process could take one to two years to complete." So, you can order the jet pack but you might not actually see it for a few years... OK, how `bout this one... "At present, the total price for the Skywalker jetpack will be $200,000." What was that Buy It Now price again?

He's got that one covered Victor... You must "Be a legal citizen of the United States of America, and pass a back ground check. Foreign orders must be authorized by the U.S. government, and the government of the purchaser."

But there's the "background check"... that'll scare them away right?

BTW: I really would like to see the guy get this thing off the ground. Think of the airshow possibilities

I stand by my first statement. If I can't name is something vulgar or racist I'm just not interested. I'm glad to know however, that is has a 4 mile range AND a GPS. I often have to get out my GPS when I'm going to the kitchen to get a beer and I can't image traveling 4 miles with out the help of one. Maybe the IFR version will be out soon. Do you think you could carry passengers if you could encase yourself in a bulletproof "door"?

And on his website... http://www.skywalkerjets.com what the hell is that blurry grey thing. Is that the last thing you see before you smash into the concrete?

I like the clamps holding this thing together, 90# pack + 180# pilot = the strongest hose clamps ever!

That's why there are TWO clamps per engine! Nothing left to chance.

I'm pretty sure that Bill and his Dad are already hard at work swapping out those silly little engines for a pair of J-39's hehehehe

I think we sould help this pioneer of aviation out with some name ideas. How about "Fried Chicken". Is this guy for real? The controll panel looks like the time machine in "Napolean Dynamite". Don't forget to put the crystals in it.
You'll get your chance, smart guy!
