Hwy 80 is closed just below my house in Truckee. Holy landslide Batman!!!!!! All four lanes covered and I heard it will not reopen for "at least a few days".

BadIdea, my dad lives just up the street from you. His house was about 3 houses from getting wet! How wet was your place?

                        Matt,

Constructing the ark already ? We got 4-5 inches more snow last nite..there is about 50 cm snow by now.

Hope things will get better. I just read the Howard Hughes new book. Hope stead won't become like the muddy field that Howard had in Culver City...way back then.

The AVIATOR book was interesting...didi you know HH had been in 8 car and aeroplane accidents.

Spent my Saturday morning at the office pulling the computers out and getting everything off the floor that we could untill the fire dept. came around in there boats and kicked us out. Weeeeeeee! Seven years to the day since we had our hundred year flood. Not as bad as '97 but pretty bad.
You'll get your chance, smart guy!

                              Rofl,

Reno floods every 10 to 15 years. Any "native" would know that!

When the flooding gets really bad, is when it gets a couple of inches of snow on the valy foor. Then rains above 7 thounsand feet elev.

I can remeber 5 New Year floods (including this years), and I am only 38. So 100 year floods... lol blah!
