Birgitta was doing some crew shots before the Gold Race this year, and caught this interaction between Art and Bill Kerchenfaut. I talked with Bill last week and he talked about how much he already misses Art, who he's known since "before he even had a warbird".
Bill has retired from Hewlett Packard, is busy doing small jobs for people (he was working on the cowling of Ellsworth Getchell's Mooney when I called). 232's motor is at Aircraft Cylinder, and should be back in a couple of months -- Bill is really looking forward to starting a serious test program on the airplane. Mike Wilton has quit the railroad, and is working for Mike Brown full time now. Mr. Brown is assembling quite a team!
