  • What's this?

Anybody happen to see this? What's that jet in the background? I think this photo was taken on Sunday.

Hope this image shows - first attempt to post an image.

Looks like that Javelin somethin or other they were promoting the last couple years at Reno.

Javelin pilot overheard to say, "Gosh, I hate unsrewing and re-screwing all those canopy fasteners every time I want to fly!"

            Nice Photoshop!

Word is that it will FINALLY be built in Colorado. For the last two years or so this sucker has only "flown" in on a flatbed.

              Re: What's this?

First flight of the prototype is expected very soon. The nose gear is being redesigned and built after high speed taxi tests at APA (Denver Centennial) revealed nosegear shimmy. ATG has selected another Denver area airport (Front Range) for the factory. This photo is a fake.

I'd heard the Viper Jet was up there, I didn't see it, was it there or was some one confused...

                    Re: What's this?

                    From a fellow P-shop'r:

                    1. Sun angle on the shadow is wrong.
                    2. If the shutter speed was fast enough to freeze "Val Halla's" prop...the blur would be less pronounced.
                    3. If the plane WERE blurred due to motion... so would the shadow.

Looks like you had fun though!

                    Brian.

It's a total fake! Just wanted to see if you guys were on your toes! Matt is correct - done in Photoshop.
Thanks for looking and taking the time to figure it out. I had fun trying to make it look reasonably real, even though, as flyingjibus says, "AoA is a bit to steep..."
