Canon 100-400L IS on a Digital Rebel. Just got it about 3 weeks before the races. Races were first real attempt at using it. Been shooting 400's for about 30 years, and it is about the finest lens I have ever used.

Hey, I've got that exact same set up... but I didn't get any photo's like that Same as you, I didn't get much time to practice with the lens before Reno. I had probably 1 month at the most of actual time using the lens, or any lens that long, before Reno this year. Maybe by next year I can get some shots like that.

              Dan,

Nice shot! I got almost the same view a few weeks later at the Airshow in Salinas using the same 100-400L lens. Not quite a "Bill" shot but I'm working on it. Colors aren't as bright because of the low cieling in Salinas that day.

Thanks. Actually have had an addiction for things I can't afford for most of my life. Feels good to have something that does not have the words,
"just as good", or "like" atached. At least until next week when they announce the next version.

Here is another picture of a busy pilot. Unfortunately, it was taken on Sunday with the bad weathor. That of course makes his flying all the more amazing.

                    Here's a couple for you.
Although I think these pilots are having more fun than working.

                      Great shots.

Any day flying is better than a day ground pounding. X10 if you are flying upside down.

Come on everybody, lets see some more shots.
