  • Night time

I found it very different wondering around late at night. It was very quiet two or three teams still working late. Then the Bear slowly came out of his cave and shattered the nights silence with a roar!
I sat out on the ramp until after midnight watching blue flames and glowing red exhaust of the Bear. The sounds and the vibrations in the air and ground were amazing. That's something I will always remember!

SixOneMarauder, The staying up late and wandering around is what I'll always miss most about staying out at Stead during the week of racing. That and the almost mystical quality that "sequestering" on's-self away from the non-racing/historical world brings to the event...

After a few days, the rest of the world begins to not exist, news? What news.... Cars? What... those things that clog the ramp ??

    Nice shots!

Victor, did you get any questions about hanging around late from anybody? I going to try it at least one night next year. Also did you use the built in flash on the Rebel or an external flash?

        Hey Tim,
I wasn't part of the general public this year. The Blue Thunder Team adpoted me . I don't think it would be a problem though just stay on the right side of the ropes and lines.
