  • Chino Airshow by Jeffrey Archer

My boy Jeff (age 7) loves to go to airshows with me. The last few times we've gone I have been letting him use our little Olympus digital camera.
We went to the Chino show and he had a blast, I didn't realize untill I got home that he had taken around 250 photos. I picked a few of the more interesting ones to share with you.

The smudged lens is actually a nice effect.

        Victor,

Your son has a natural eye for composition. If his father would put a little effort into Photoshop and clean up some of the background in the P-47 and Six Shooter shots they would look excellent.

Once again, your boy has the eye. You are doing the right thing; giving him a camera and standing back.

              Well Done!!!!

                Thank you, Wayne & Bill
I wish I could take him to Reno but that's the first week of school.
I'm just trying to keep the interest in aviation going to the next generation. Jeff likes taking pictures and loves airplanes so it just seemed like the right thing to do. Some times I see him trying to take the same photo as me and I just keep telling him take your own photos the way you want to see them. My family says he never had a chance my Dad started to take me to airshows when I was only a few months old. And my Grandfather got my Dad his first job at Supermarine.
Aviation is and has always been a big part of our family.
Here's an interesting note for you. My Grandfather worked on the design of the first sleeve valve engines at Bristol.
