It's a model, probably this one belonging to Shailesh Patel. I have seen it in person and it is truly magnificent.

Some really nice pictures on this "model"

Victor, your shot is wonderful, is that the model or a full size f86?

Marauder, the aircraft in your photo is the one belonging to the late Steve Snyder and is marked as FU-204. If you look closely you will see the pics posted by both rwflyboy and myself show the markings FU-192.

Here's the model again with speed brakes out and canopy open at the United States Scale Masters Championships held at Wright Pat.

No it's not a model, it was at Nellis '02. The guy sure liked flying low. I'm sure the pilot and plane are in the Nellis Aviation Nation Program 2002, can't seem to locate mine. It's not the same F-86 as the origional post but I believe there was a team at one time.

I'll certainly vouch for saying the "great" Snort. He is a great stick; with the F-86, he can hang in tight behind a P-51 doing a barrel roll. That's some damm good flying.

Lenoch, is that you? Great to hear from you again if it is!

I don't know if anyone has any info on this F-86, but there was an F-86 that was on a pylon at a trailor park near Sacramento called "Saber City". It was taken down (and brought to Reno, I think) in the early 80's to be restored to flying condition. Unfortunatly I don't have any pictures or numbers. It was pretty well known about, since it was an F-86 that crashed into the Farrells Ice Cream across from Sacramento Executive. I can remember news reporters standing under the Saber on the pylon during news stories whenever they talked about the F-86 crash. Does anyone know of what happened to this bird?
