Isn't this the same P-40 in that famous black and white poster? It's almost a head on shot, with (what looks like) a four blade prop?
Marauder, these are great photos, and a great challenge to the group. Keep 'em coming. I'll provide info where I can. Any pictures I would have would come out of a book or magazine. I'd hate to Plagiarize them.

Four bladed
The P-40 with the 4-bladed prop would be Gil Macy's at the time. It also had a modified canopy and was a weather modification plane before that, so I doubt it's the same Warhawk.
There is a Nut Tree poster of it in flight.
It was later restored to "stock" condition in AVG markings by Tom Camp. Not sure where it is now.
