Indeed! And from a Air Boss perspective, it's the kind of thing that keeps me up at night. Not too worried about the operators like Amazon, etc...it's the chuckle-head who thinks it would be cool to get that "air to air" footage of the Blues, T-Birds or any other performer. Not to mention...it's only a matter of time when one of these things tangles with a commercial airliner or helo...several near misses already. Keep it real out there, folks! We all share the same airspace. -

The bigger problem is that for a few hundred dollars you can buy and fly something you don't have a clue about. The people who buy these mostly have no idea what "Airspace" even IS. With R/C flying, it took a while to get the hang of flying, costed more money replacing your crashes and people often sought out more learned members of the activity to train them....who could then explain airspace and other issues. Given the number of Quads already in private hands, that horse has already left the barn when it comes to educating folks along the way.....Originally posted by Air Judge View PostComment

You are right on, the RC hobby in some ways have shot them selves in the foot by making it to easy for people to learn the hobby. I have a friend he has a full size, but he is into RC also now and is doing it the right way, But he was able to buy compete ARF with a GPS on board that keeps it from getting away and will land it self with very little help.Comment
