    Red Bull Air Racer Mike Mangold Killed In Plane Crash

    Mike Mangold is dead after he was involved in an L-39 Albatros crash Sunday afternoon. Witnesses to the crash say that the aircraft was attempting to takeoff from Apple Valley Airport in Apple Valley, CA when it encountered an issue and crashed. Apple Valley Fire and Police Department spokesman


    Days like today I am reminded that bad things can happen--whether within or beyond their control--to really good pilots.

      Wow. saw that on the news but said nothing of who it was but it was an L39 and Mike had crossed my mine being I know he live's up there. Prayers to the family
