  • Even more Critical Mass (10 images)

Yeah, I'm a follower, but I wanted to put up some stuff too. It's one of the only ways I can thank Tom for his years of showmanship. Like Rick said, I hope to see Critical Mass with Wiz at the controls.

And can we ever hace too many Critical Mass photos?

                      Nice shots Bill!

Are you using an IS lens or just have an extremely steady hand?

Thanks Rick. These were all with a Sigma 50-500mm. No IS or VR or OS.

Damn, you are a human tripod! Isn't the multiplication factor on your camera 1.6 which would essentially make your lens a 80-800?

Hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of tweaking one of the pictures you posted in Photoshop to see if the colors could be a bit more vibrant. The picture looked a bit flat on my monitor and I wasn't sure if it was my monitor or the pic itself. How does this one look on yours?

                              Hey Rick,

My camera has a 1.5x factor so the lens is a 75-750mm. But then the sigma suposedly only goes to about 460mm so that would make it a 75-690mm. Color is always a pain. I don't mind (I think I can sue you now because of the copyright). I eye ball it and try to make it how I remember it. Plus I did not have my camera set up as I should. And everyone's monitor is a bit different, and all printers print a bit different. Then there is the brightness. They look exposed corectly to me, but are they too bright for everyone else? Are they too dark?.... Awww screw it..... Close enough.

                              Thanks for the coments,
