  • Aerochia Record Setting

    Hey Guys,

Check out these photos from this weekend's high power testing to prepare for Mojave Experimental Flyin record setting.

There are good days and there are realy good days, and anytime the sky is filled with the sound of race gas and ADI being burned is a really good day. The photos below are from some of the big power testing that has been being done at the Mojave airport by Aerochia during the buildup to this year's Mojave Experimental Flyin. I feel terrifically privileged to be a part of this motivated and talented team. The data clusters have been tight, the hardware has been performing, and the steps remaining are getting to be few.

You have to come out next week, to the Mojave records week, meet Andy and Lynn, see race 44 and the other awesome hardware and get pumped.

    See you at Mojave, link.

The NAA Record Window opens tomorrow at sunrise and stays open until Friday at Sunset, as do the low altitude speed waivers for the 3km guys. The flour bomb/spot landing contest/poker run and aviation slumber party is Friday, the awards banquet Saturday. The big flyin is Saturday from 10-2.

The record setting will likely come down to weather with all the competitors looking for the best weather they can get in the record window. Different records prefer different conditions.

Unfortunately while I can and will share when the Time to Climb records and cross country records are planned and running, for the low altitude stuff the FSDO has asked that we don't invite the public. That being said we do need volunteers to mark the course, please contact me if you will be around.

Aerochia had a great weekend running race power several times over the airport without any issues. Klaus has ben posting some wild photo's of custom hardware for his EZs that he plans to set several records with this week. And Patey is hot stepping through his test program on the Turbine Legacy so he can get here and set some records. Looks like it is going to be quite a show. Register to attend here (link)
