After being gone for a year in 2013, the Blue Angels are back for Fleet Week San Francisco along with the Patriots, Sean Tucker and others.

Couple years ago we spend 3 days on the bay during fleet week. Fishing - Airplane - Fishing. That weekend mother nature gave us the best weather ever offshore out at the Farallon islands.

As for the Blue Angles, different rules apply on the water. We were drifting between Alcatraz and Treasure Island and they were close and loud.

May have to haul Salty Dawg do to the bay again.

There is a small public fishing pier just inside the golden gate about 200 yards from the bridge. Great viewing and fishing. I shot video of the USS Lincoln launching two F18s right in front of us one year which may have been the first jets launched from the deck of a carrier inside the bay. They then circled Alcatraz in opposite directions. Of course you can always go up on the deck of the bridge in the pedestrian sidewalk for those great over the cable shots.
