It could be worse. In Sept '69 it took the crew of SR-71 974 ten days to do a four hour flight from Kadena (Okinawa) to Beale. The reason being they lost a generator near Wake Island and got stuck there. It set the record for longest time for the trip.

Good to see the Bear back at Stead. Hopefully there was no damage in the haul from Texas, and the reassembly goes quickly and easily.

Every time I see that plane I'm amazed that that engine gets enough cooling air through that tiny slot.
