    Just saw on the news, a 4.2 earthquake hit near Stead.

    It was in Sparks-Spanish Springs.

    I felt it in Lemmon Valley, very short, maybe 5 seconds.

      yeah.....they happen. Was in the area a few years ago when one went off in Verdi. Shook pretty good.

        Knocked a few things off the shelves at a hospital downtown. Also at my house in Spainish Springs.

        I'ev been in a lot of quakes in my time, I have never gotten use to them.

              Seriously though, I remember staying at a relatives farm - in an earthquake zone - as a kid..

              & being amazed to see the fence wires twanging taut/loose - as the posts waved in sympathetic sine..
