    There was a NTSB report on 12/2 of a fatal crash of a Cassutt Sport Racer N9CA. This happened in TN. Was it one of the F1 race pilots/plane?

      Sorry for the tardiness, Bob, I just noticed this post.

      No, this wasn't a "racer". N9CA was from Collegedale, TN and had been there all of its life.

      From a friend of mine:

      "Mr Clarence Andrews (news released his name) was in his Cassutt racer (N9CA) when he crashed. He had built it 25 years ago, and has flown it for the last 25 years, and was a great guy. RIP"

      He was 82 years young.
