7, 232, 77, 38, 8. Not a fast race at in the 470's. 7 was way out front. 232 started at the back and passed two on lap 1. 8 caught some bad air on pylon 1 and almost got turned over.

it looked to me like no contest even at the start. Strega had half a lap on lap 2. Will there even be a race for first on Sunday or just maybe for second. Is Rare Bear really that slow?

I think Stu had better put the stones to it tomorrow.....he don't wanna start from 3rd on Sunday!!

The bear crew is all over the engine this evening. Doesn't look like typical prep work.

Best of luck to the Bear crew.....we need someone to push Strega on Sunday.

From the VOS, We thought we saw 7 cut a pylon 5 because 77 and the Rest of the pack followed 77 the long way around ... Giving the 7 a huge lead...and everybody throttled back after that.... Nobody seamed in a hurry after that.

One of the 38 crew told me Thom was only using enough power to stay in front of Dred.

Yep that was the plan all along! More left in current engine, and with a fresh engine... Who knows?! 480 would be nice.

Not bad for downhill with a tail wind.

How badly did that clam shell door hurt the plans for the off season engine program Mike? Any other off season plans for PM you can share with us?

I sense animosity for PM from the tapper...

Nah -- Just a tough love challenge from some body who knows how to make Unlimiteds go fast. DT has already been repeatedly proven wrong on Precious Metal's potential.

Let's all hope he's wrong again...

At this point it's just one team flicking s**t at another. We took quite a leap towards the front of the gold, and a ton of airframe cleanup to do still.

Yeah... and someone else seems to have gone in the opposite direction! ;)

Not at all, nothing but love for Race 38. We went out of our way for those guys, and very happy to do it.

Hope to see better gains next year.

Well slap my ass and call me Sally, if that's not love, I don't know what love is!

P.S. Dialtapper, will you humble yerself for the purpose of outdoing yourself next
time? (MY GOSH MAN, I MEAN COME ON!!!)

We both know what the airplane in your hands can be.

Ouch! :D

If I haven't said it already, what PM did this year just about blew my remaining hair off my head. Simply an amazing gain in performance... and by all appearances reliability and safety too (AWOL gear doors notwithstanding...). It didn't seem like the big Griffon so much as coughed all week.

By the way, how long does it look like fixing the door is going to keep her in Stead? I assume the plan is to fly her back home after the repair, no indignity of riding on a truck.... ;)

Already home in Florida! Getting new door took longer than fitting and installing it. No issues whatsoever on the flight home either.
