I hear from a former crew member that Rare Bear is having issues that are keeping it in the cave. Anyone know what's up???

As Dialtapper and I were joking about last week, it's the worst poorly-kept secret out there, that everyone seems to know about but nobody is talking about.

Yes, there were engine issues that have put things on hold for the time being. Beyond that, until the team comes out with some official word, that's the extent of it.

Now I can see another reason why Rod Lewis giving the go-ahead on putting a new race motor and slow nose case on 232 this year was a smart call (other then that it's awesome)...if you've got the money, and you want a sure shot at Reno Gold, might as well have a REALLY good backup :-P

Remember "Tiger" & Lyle always said they had problems prior to qual. time. Once "Tiger" said all he had was a "stock" engine & then went out & didn't do bad. Time will tell.
