Word is he passed away last night in Dallas after being hospitalized for pneumonia, he was 89.

Sat next to him at Tallichet's memorial , too scared to say hi. I saw him and decided to meet him at Reno Sept 16 ,2011 he was sitting with Hoover and Barron Hilton. Nice guy and a legend. Last year I read Go Like Hell, asked him bout the book. Speed ran an excellent doc on him in 2011 as well
