I got to fly with Spike McLane in the B-25 last spring. Great group of guys! And the B-25 is done up in the exact markings it wore in Italy in 1944...18 combat missions.

There were 3 B-25's at Chino last weekend, always strikes me as a hot rod the way they just rumble and snort while cruising down the taxi-way and sound great on fly-by's.

The A/B-26 Invader remains my favorite, but the Mitchell's are so more plentiful, it is nice to get see them still flying.

My uncle did 25, then 30, then 35 missions out of Italy in the B-25 "She's Engaged", DFC, several Air Medals Cath-22 anyone?). He flew over 30,000 hours in everything from Cessna's to 747's (he commuted in a baron) and his favorite EVER was the B-25.
They finally grounded him in his 80's when he took off one day in his 172 and had to be talked down as his eyes had gotten that bad! I always wondered why when I flew with him he made ME fly...
